Like any place, Blue Osa has a long and interesting history, and everyone wants to know it. What kind of buildings were here before? What did you look like before you built it? Did you build everything?
You have come to know Blue Osa as a beautiful yoga sanctuary by the sea. The beauty was always here, but the sanctuary was added when we arrive.
Here is a little peek into a photo history that is Blue Osa.
Welcome to Blue Osa
Our story begins with a French lady – Marie. Spotting a 21 Century for sale sign outside the gate, we stopped to inquire.
Opening the gate, she encountered Aaron and Adam. Marie was so inspired by their vision of Blue Osa, she offered to stay for a brief time to assist them with its development.
Seven years later, as Mother to Blue Osa, she continues to greet guests in her French accent and with a sparkle in her eye, exclaiming: “Bon appetit!”
Once we purchased the land, both Adam and myself came regularly to visit.
Marie loved to cook for us. Sadly this was her kitchen.
Now Marie has a very different kitchen to create her delicious farm-to-table meals.
Like any typical Costa Rican house, outside the kitchen is where we hung our laundry.
This is the view from the entrance of the yoga studio.
Every morning, those of us staying here during the early days would rise early and practice in the yoga space. It was a reminder that yoga can be practiced anywhere.
But we really appreciated our new yoga space when it was built. My personal favorite program we offer at Blue Osa has become the Yoga Teacher Training Immersions.
One of the things we adopted when purchasing Blue Osa was the animals. 3 dogs and 4 cats came with the land.
And we still have many animals with us today!

And then we rebuilt.
And made something beautiful. An oasis where you can truly let go and relax.
Our Eco-Spa as it was before.
Adam is a true visionary. He is able to see the potential of what can be.
The area in front of the beach. It was not a very nice place to hangout.
What do you think now?
Our landscaping was very bare.
And now!
Have you seen our story yet?
We hope you can come and visit us soon!
