About Your Yoga Instructor:
Huma Gruaz
Huma is a C-IAYT certified yoga therapist (she fulfilled the rigorous requirements of the International Association of Yoga Therapists studying for 4 years at Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy program which integrates Western medicine with 5000-year-old Yoga tradition). She has 500-RYT and E-500 RYT certifications (awarded to teachers with over 2000 hours of teaching by Yoga Alliance designating them as an experienced teacher), is certified by the Chopra Center as a Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher in addition to her undergraduate and post-graduate degrees and experience in organizing global retreats and trips for over 20 years.
She brings her in-depth knowledge of yoga and yoga therapy to her classes for safe practice while giving personalized attention to every student. Huma teaches at some of the top studios in Southern California. Her multi-national background, her former career as a communications executive, her passion as an artist, her training as a former competitive swimmer, coupled with her multi-lingual skills bring different layers of depth to her teaching.
Huma Gruaz has advanced training as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist to address the needs of students participating in the retreat.
