Your Teacher

Hi! I'm Yogi Aaron!

I look forward to welcoming you to my beachfront yoga retreat, Blue Osa, for a spiritually awakening experience.

I built Blue Osa to host yoga immersions in a safe, wild, and nurturing environment. I wanted to create a space where people could come and be immersed in a yogic lifestyle without all of the modern-day distractions. I wanted Blue Osa to help people come back home to themselves.

And since opening our doors, Blue Osa has provided just that to thousands of people.

Personally, I have 30+ years of yoga experience, have led countless yoga teacher training programs, and continue to embrace being a beginner at heart - constantly learning and expanding my own self-awareness and yogic knowledge.

I've designed Blue Osa's Yoga Teacher Training to be a perfect blend of the ancient and spiritual practices of yoga (influenced by the Himalayan tradition) offered alongside modern-day, science-backed methods like AYAMA™ (Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation) which is a revolutionary approach to yoga that eliminates pain by optimizing muscle function.

The style of yoga I teach and that you will learn comes from the direct lineage of the Himalayan Tradition and is infused with AYAMA, Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and Bhakti Yoga.

I can't wait to have you join our Blue Osa family in a future training!

Testimonials

Home.

"As a former Ashtanga practitioner I had to unlearn a lot and relearn a new pain free way of yoga during my teacher training with Aaron. The way he integrates his knowledge of Applied Yoga Anatomy and Muscle Activation™ is a mindful and safe way to practice yoga. In a short period of time my shoulder pain got less and less and I felt more strength throughout my body.

Now I look at some poses in yoga in a different light and have a much greater understanding of their impact on the body."

Peace.

"I'm grateful for having clarity and overwhelming sense of peace I am taking away from some of the challenges I was working through during my time spent at Blue Osa.

I wanted to let you know I've felt a particular appreciation for your capacity as a space-holder and witness, and find it admirable how you remained seemingly unphased by what could quickly be triggering actions from myself and others."

Friendship.

"My time at Blue Osa was among the most incredible journeys I have ever undertaken, from both an amazing travel experience to probably the most substantial period of personal growth I have ever undertaken. From the friends and community I gained, to the awe inspiring yoga practices.

I am still in awe of everything I experienced in those two weeks. The wisdom you imparted upon us was simply life changing. I have never been exposed to yoga as profound as this experience. You are an incredible person and I thank you for opening the door to a whole new world to me."

Aaron is like a bright guiding light, he has such depth of knowledge and experience of these practices and traditions. I feel like I'm able to make so much more progress under his guidance.  A big win for me is my learning to speak with such COMPASSION, KNOWLEDGE, and CONFIDENCE.

Pain-Free.

"I am so grateful for Yogi Aaron! I am now living a pain-free life. My yoga teacher training experience was magical and transformational. The training exceeded my expectations. This training guides us in the authentic yoga based in the Himalayan Tradition, and about stability of the body and mind through innovations like AYAMA (Applied Yoga Anatomy and Muscle Activation created by Yogi Aaron)!

I enjoyed learning how I can assist students with improving their range of motion through simple, yet incredibly effective exercises because we got the opportunity to put it to the test by experiencing these exercises ourselves and witness our own range of motion improve."
